Busy, busy, busy

Life has been just that, busy. School, Jake working two jobs and a mobile baby make for a crazy life. Not to mention that we are kicking ourselves for not opting for the bigger apartment when we first moved in. We are trying to figure out what our next move is going to be when our lease is up in August. School is going well, almost done with MCC and I say that with a huge sign of relief! On to NAU! Right now I am taking a public speaking class twice a week and although I was dreading it, it's not too bad and I have an awesome teacher. Jake is still busy being super fiance/dad and working two jobs. We are still trying to figure out the major details to our wedding, such as a date! Since we are really thinking about Hawaii, we can't book until 11 months in advance so since we want a March/April (of next year wedding) we can't officially pick a date for a few more months. It's frustrating so I have been attempting to plan the reception which we are having here to celebrate with everyone else! PARTY! :)

News on Aiden, he is eating solid food about two times a day and is still breastfeed the rest of the day. Mostly right before his naps and bedtime. This kid loves to eat and LOVES baby food meat. Which blows my mind because it smells horrendous! His newest love are the gerber baby puffs. They melt in his mouth which gives me a little peace of mind that he won't choke. He can chew them even though he still has no teeth! He gets so excited when I pull them out and shake the container. His weight gain has slowed down and I am assuming that is because he is mobile. When I say mobile, I mean MOBILE. This kid can get across the room as fast as I can blink. It's insane and it scares the crap out of me!

I will have to upload pictures later, my phone automatically uploads my pictures to my photobucket but since that is full, I have to delete some to get the newer ones on there!

From here....to there.

Aiden has become mobile and he LOVES it. I can no longer set him on the floor to play and know that he will stay there. A good example......

It is pretty hard to tell from this picture but he had crawled/wiggled his way across the room! Here is his other new trick.....

That's right, he is officially able to pull himself to a standing position and he is very proud of himself. Now that he is more comfortable with standing he will pull himself up and then do a little dance. It's pretty much the cutest thing ever, I just need to get it on tape.

In other updates, Aiden figured out how to clap, I was clapping yesterday and he started mimicking me. It made me so excited I squealed like a little kid and he started laughing. Aiden is also eating baby food twice a day now and he loves it! He's a big veggies eater but LOVES baby food meat. (YUCK!) It smells disgusting but you would never have guessed it with how he eats it.

My Aunt and Uncle bought us two different high chairs. The one in the picture above is his portable one that I use when I am in the living room with him so I can watch my TV show! haha The other one obviously stays in the kitchen.

This is the best investment we have made I think so far, it's called a fisher price cruise and crawl magical jungle. It makes noise when you hit the monkeys hands and comes with balls that go down the ramp in the center. He has also figured out how to pull himself up on this as well!

Our Valentines day in pictures!

I've never really been a HUGE fan of valentines day. I mean sure when I was 17 and in high school I thought it was the greatest thing. Now that I've been with Jake for 2 years and we have a baby it just doesn't have the same effect. Although, this year I stand corrected, I loved it and decided to have a little fun!

Last night we got our new car.....



I am totally in love although we had to travel up to Prescott to get it, it was totally worth the drive! That made today so much better, then I went downstairs to get something out of my new car and I find this sitting in the front seat.......

It was a pretty good day to say the least. I guess I don't dislike v-day as much as I claim! ;)

6 month update!

Well we have one BIG boy on our hands. We had his 6 month check up on the day he turned 6 months, I guess I could call that his "birthday" but that just sounds strange. Anyways, his Dr was totally shocked at how well he is doing considered he is TOTALLY breastfed. He is 29 3/4 inches and weights 22 lbs 10.5 ounces!! When they charted his stats he was WAY off and is measuring the size of an "average" 14 month old!!! When we asked her if she could give us a rough estimate about how tall she thought he was going to be she only said, "enormous."

Our little man is growing up so fast and it scares me more and more everyday. The bigger he gets the less time I have with him wanting to snuggle up with Mommy. Maybe I'll get lucky when he's older and still want to snuggle with me! haha

Vacation time in Show Low!

The morning after Christmas we all woke up about 4:30am and packed up everything along with 6 other people and headed up to Jake's Aunt and Uncles cabin for a few days.



I was so thrilled to be getting out of town!! It took about 3 hours to get up there and I was really worried about how Aiden would do. Once again our little man surprised us all (I don't know why we keep doubting him!) He slept for most of the way and didn't cry at all. By the time we got up there he had not eaten in over 4 1/2 hours and he was so excited about the new place he wasn't even interested when I tried to feed him. There wasn't any snow when we got up there but it was still freezing and gorgeous!

Aiden's first Christmas!

The days leading up to Christmas were pretty crazy. Jake had a few days off before so we got to spend lots of time with him and Aiden LOVED it. We spent a lot of time with family and Aiden did so awesome. I thought that because of how screwed up his sleeping schedule was he was going to be a terror but instead we got this....



The Thursday before Christmas we went to Jake's Aunt and Uncles to spend time with them and open presents. We had a blast and took lots of pictures!!

Christmas Eve we had dinner at a friends house with the family and then everyone went to midnight mass (except up, we weren't going to press our luck with Aiden) The next morning we slept in, then headed over to Jake's parents where we opened presents there and spend the morning. In the afternoon we went to my Aunt and Uncles and had Christmas there. Aiden was SPOILED!!!!!! He got so much stuff it's hard to believe. We didn't get any pictures unfortunately but it's all on video! :)

We had an awesome Christmas and I'm glad that Aiden was old enough to somewhat understand what was going on. He LOVED ripping the paper off his new toys!
